Meet the new face of eco-fashion: Rachel Avalon! An environmentalist with a holistic nutrition business in Los Angeles, Rachel was announced the winner of the first ever Project Green Search — a contest to find the next eco it girl — at a final wrapup party at the Ecco Ultra Lounge in Hollywood last Friday.
Put together by Greenloop, this green model competition got entries from 125 eco-thinking women eager to combine green style with eco-consciousness. Ten finalists came to Los Angeles for final interviews — and to mingle with fellow eco-Angelenos at the party at Ecco while modeling fashions from green designers. To the left’s the driving force behind this competition — Aysia Wright of Greenloop — holding two bottles of Square One Organic Vodka.
Darren Moore (right, with finalists Juliana Tran, Jessica Williamson and Rachel Avalon) of Alter Eco fame emceed — and at the end of the night, Rachel was announced the winner.
Expect to see Rachel on the covers and interior spreads in Organic Spa Magazine, Coco Eco Magazine, Peppermint Magazine, E Magazine and other publications. And for some green holiday advice, watch a short video below, in which Rachel shares some helpful tips for wrapping gifts greenly.
