Yet another reason I love mark. brand products! The mark. Berry Grand Super Exfoliating Beads passes this product test, and works amazing! It's sold seperate, so I just add as much, or little, each time I want to use a scrub. Here's the ingredients listing (available online for each product mark. sells):
ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) POWDER
ZEA MAYS (CORN) COB MEAL
VACCINIUM MACROCARPON (CRANBERRY) SEED
PUNICA GRANATUM SEED
PRUNUS ARMENIACA (APRICOT) SEED POWDERMore

just put either sugar or table sal1 or 2 tbsp on a small piece of plastic wrap and set on dry spot in your shower. with your soapy hand, just dip in and rub in circles on face, neck, etc. once a week is usually enough for sensitive skin.
a great alternative are those exfoliating stretchy gloves you can get in the $1 store, using it with your soap or wash.

I am 67, and my skin looks much younger. I use baking soda and sea salt!

hi; a great and more eco friendly (and cheaper) alternative to pre made scrubs is simply add table sugar to your normal body wash. A derm. gave me this advice and it leaves me with beautiful glowing skin-- apparently the enzymes made when the sugar dissolves are secret weapons

so how much table sugar would you need for a bottle of body wash? or do I have to mix each time I take a shower?

I was going to comment the same thing. Years ago..like 10 or 11 years ago in a womens magazine I had been reading they did an interview with Nicole Kidman and the one question was how did she keep her skin so glowing? her answer was 2 tablespoons of Citrus Vodka that she kept in the freezer+1 tablespoon of sugar mixed together. I've used it since then and I always recieve compliments on my skin.

Exfoliating scrubs

To provide an abrasive effect, many face and body cleansing scrubs use tiny plastic beads, often listed on the ingredient list as polyethylene. These bits, which are less than 1 millimeter in diameter, wash down the drain and eventually flow into our oceans where they will never biodegrade. Choose scrubs containing sugar, apricot, nuts or other natural abrasives.
