Beef jerky purse

Talk about using found materials! It seems Nancy Wu, a product design student at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., simply opened up the kitchen cabinet to find her medium. Wu crafted this iconic Chanel 2.55 purse by sewing together sheets of beef jerky — even replicating the purse’s quilted pattern — and titling her work “100% Beef Jerky.” While meat is hardly an eco-friendly medium, the purse is meant to be a comical take on designer accessories — and isn’t it every carnivore’s dream to have a handbag that doubles as a meaty snack?
