As a dermatologist, I do NOT recommend the use of toothpaste to help with blemishes. In fact, I tell my patients this when they say they include a dab of toothpaste as their acne regime. The "tingly" part that you feel may be more likely the mint part of your toothpaste, and can actually turn a small blemish into a scar or even a burn. Furthermore, leaving toothpaste on your skin can dry it and if it has any whitening ingredients, you can actually cause your skin to bleach out (that's what the
.... More
whitening part does on your teeth!).
I suggest using salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Or even better--leave it alone!
