Need new beachwear for the summer? Then I hope you planned ahead — by doing ocean-friendly eco-activist work. If you did, you could be Oceana’s next Ocean Hero
— and get a $500 gift certificate to Nautica plus a pair of Revo sunglasses.
Oceana’s annual Ocean Heroes Contest is back and seeking nominees. Who qualifies? Anyone “who has made a significant, ongoing contribution to ocean conservation.” The nomination process is simple — Just fill out a quick form, explaining in 1500 characters or fewer how your nominee’s an ocean hero.
Get your suggestion in by April 27. About a week after that, finalists will be selected and public voting will begin. Come early June, two new Ocean Heroes — one adult and one young activist under 18 years old — will be named and given the big prizes. All finalists too will get a reward: A $100 Nautica gift card. Good luck!
