Transportation leader CSX has launched an online conversation called Local Motive, which is designed to tell the complete story of the company’s community outreach efforts and the positive impacts made by national and local non-profit partners.

“Local Motive will provide us an opportunity to bring our non-profit partners and neighbors together, to celebrate the successes of events and initiatives, and share ideas and engage with our neighbors on how to make their communities stronger,” said John Claybrooks, director of brand & digital media for CSX.

An online hub has been created for Local Motive to aggregate all the content surrounding CSX’s and partners’ impact in the community, from service events to economic development.

CSX is encouraging employees, partners, customers and neighbors to use the #LocalMotive hashtag in order to add their content and keep the Local Motive conversation going year-round.

“Local Motive isn’t just about one day,” said Tori Kaplan, assistant vice president of corporate social responsibility for CSX. “It’s about the continuing efforts of CSX, and our neighbors, partners and volunteers, to be a positive influence the communities in which we live and work.”
