Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Opened in 1963, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is the largest of its kind. It stretches from the base of Coachella Valley to the top of the San Jacinto Peak. Prior to its construction, the only way to get to the peak was to hike several hours. With the aerial tramway, it takes a mere eight and a half minutes.
