Department of Energy Idaho Operations Office won the U.S. Department of Energy Transformational Energy Action Management Award for Energy Security. This award recognizes special achievements in energy security with the reduction of petroleum fuel use.

University of Idaho McCall Field Campus

The Idaho Environmental Learning Center at the University of Idaho McCall Field Campus won the EPA's "P3: People, Prosperity and the Planet Student Design Competition for Sustainability" award for its Architecture as Pedagogy: Interdisciplinary Design and Creation of a Carbon Neutral University of Idaho project. They will construct a carbon-neutral environmental learning center.
