A little elbow grease is worth its weight in gold at The Nature Conservancy’s Kentucky chapter. Throughout the year, we’re looking for people willing to help out with invasive weed control, photography, tree planting, research projects, community events and general office assistance.
Clean the Green, Saturday, July 24th.
We need your help to Clean the Green!
Join The Nature Conservancy, Kentucky Waterways Alliance, and Green River Fiscal Court for Clean the Green, sponsored by Crystal Light. Starting at 8:00 a.m. CT (9:00 a.m. ET) at the American Legion Park in Greensburg. Canoes, paddles, life jackets, and lunch will be provided. If you attend, you'll be entered into a raffle to win a Perception Carolina 140 Kayak with vests and paddles. After the paddle, come celebrate at the park with refreshments and music by "The Foster Children" RSVP to Kelly Craig of the Kentucky Waterways Alliance at kelly@kwalliance.org.
Set up or dismantle a display table, keep handouts stocked and/or talk to the public about the Conservancy's work in Kentucky. If you are interested in helping out at an event, contact Amanda Sparrow (859-259-9655 x 52 or asparrow@tnc.org).
Our next booth opportunity is at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville. The fair runs from August 19 through the 29th. Can you help us spread the word about The Nature Conservancy by taking a shift at our information booth? If you can, let Amanda know at asparrow@tnc.org.
Coordinate friends, family, clubs or co-workers to plant trees, remove weeds, clear trails and help with other outside work.
Send along high quality photos and images of landscapes, critters and other wildlife from your favorite nature preserve to:
