MAINE EVENT: Beautiful local veggies. (Photo: Natalie Deuschle)
I bought a "pre-made" meal from Barrels Community Market, an awesome co-op that only sells products made in Maine. The recipe was different from the pasta dishes my college roommates and I have been making and the packaging was rather cute. How could I resist making this packaged dish?

The bag contained a squash, two different types of kale, spinach, an onion, carrots, thyme and garlic.

I bought these locally produced and delicious noodles to go along with the veggie sauce. They smelled like fresh bread dough and were utterly delectable.

The final product. I mixed in some goat yogurt made by Kennebec Cheesery, the goat cheesery here in Maine that I wrote about earlier this year to make the sauce thicker. The final product was delicious and I felt happy having eaten a completely local meal.
