Photos of tornado damage in Nebraska, climate change

On June 18, storms swept through our state and a tornado touched down just outside Aurora, Nebraska. It's not something I'm proud of, but here in Nebraska, tornadoes are more of a source of entertainment than something seen as dangerous, because everyone is so used to them. You can see in this video of the Aurora tornado how excited people get when faced with one.

Due to climate change, witnessing a tornado may become even more common (scientists seem to be in conflict on the data). To gather more data about these tornadoes, a weather satellite was sent out from Cape Canaveral Saturday. It will track hurricanes and tornadoes, with the ultimate goal of observing climate change.
