Energy Kinetics, Inc. is receiving the Energy Star Award for Excellence for its superior efforts to display and promote the Energy Star label. The company demonstrates a strong commitment to energy efficiency and the environment, qualifying 100% of its product line for the Energy Star.

Merck & Co.

Merck & Co., a global research-driven pharmaceutical company, has received Energy Star's Sustained Excellence recognition. The U.S. Department of Energy awarded the company for achieving energy savings worldwide on the order of 29%, exceeding its energy reduction goal of 25% compared to a 2004 baseline.

Westfield YMCA CHP System

The YMCA in Westfield, NJ won the Energy Star Combined Heat and Power Partnership award for supporting the local community by providing active, healthy and educational programs and activities for children. With an operating efficiency of approximately 65 percent, the CHP system requires approximately 21 percent less fuel than typical onsite thermal generation and purchased electricity.
