My new job in environmental advocacy

By Charles Ferrer, Local CorrespondentFri, Jul 31 2009 at 9:52 PM EST

The Democratic Youth National Organization is a youth grassroots organization founded by high school and college students in New Jersey. DYNO's main goal is to engage young people to get involved in supporting President Obama's progressive agenda in creating a stronger America.

On July 29, 2009, I was appointed to be the Environmental Policy Director of DYNO. As the Director of Environmental Policy, I will help promote the Democratics' progressive policies regarding climate change, energy indepence and environmental protection. Since the organization was founded in NJ, we will also be focusing on the environmental issues that are of concern to the State. Through this organization, will be hosting campaign events that will have the same format as either a forum or a town hall meeting. We hope to have public officials and other organizations come support our youth movement.
