Thousands of people crowded to Main Street on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the annual charity event Fall for Greenville. Restaurant vendors lined the streets offering tastes from their kitchens, and local artists provided entertainment on several stages throughout the festival.

This year, they claimed to be going green with a donation of compostable and recyclable plates, cups and napkins from Sysco. Unfortunately, virtually all of those materials went into the trash cans that lined the streets. However, there was an abundance of recycling receptacles for bottles and cans.

Even if their green efforts didn't exactly pull through, it was a fun way to share a beautiful fall day with the local community!
