Reuse and recycle books

Does everyone know about my new favorite website/bookstore?

For those of you who love to read (and could waste all possible expendable income on books), I have a sustainable option for you.  Swaptree.com is a network of users who upload the extra, unwanted books they have lying around.  Then, there is a "want list," where you add all those books you'd like to buy new but can't afford!  You can also trade games, DVDs, and CDs.  Swaptree then matches you up with symbiotic trades and even provides printable mailing labels.  It charges my account monthly only for the postage fee of the books.

I have recently acquired the Changing Seasons Macrobiotic Cookbook by Aveline Kushi for my old YOU: An Owner's Manual.  (Macrobiotics will be another post... stay tuned...)  I have cleaned out my dusty bookshelf and I receive new books in my mailbox every day!  While some days there may be no trades available, Swaptree finds three-way trade options and emails you the offer to accept.  I'm thinking that managing my Swaptree account could get me enough experience to try the stock market soon -- or not.

I hope you look into this website based out of Boston, Mass. for an alternative to buying all-new products.  It takes the saving of paper seriously!  Especially in the economy today, we are all looking for ways to entertain ourselves for cheap.  Swaptree.com affords us the resources to share media nationwide.  Reusing and recycling is an important issue of conservation, and by incorporating these into our consumer habits, we work to further conserve planetary resources and reduce waste.
