Food, energy and quality of life in Iowa

A look at the food system of Iowa, one of the country's most prominent agricultural hubs.

In September 2009, students from the University of Vermont and Iowa State University traveled around the State of Iowa to speak with experts and stakeholders in the food and agriculture industries of the State. The video below is a mini-documentary showing many of the interviews from the trip. The success of Iowa's food system is relevant to us all; as the video says, Iowa is the largest producer of corn and soybeans in the country. It is also the largest producer of hogs and layers (egg chickens).
