Paper, plastic, cans and glass bottles? Since when is the environmental duty of recycling looked upon as an art? Since Global Inheritance
, a youth activism organization started in 2005, created the "TRASHed: The Art of Recycling
" campaign. Global Inheritance has spread the message of the importance of recycling by traveling to major musical events (Warped Tour, Coachella and Treasure Island Musical Festival, to name a few) where they set up elaborate displays of professionally designed and decorated recycling bins. Utilizing their network of over 7,000 artists, they are able to match the distinct feel of each individual event. By capitalizing on the interests of younger generations, art and music, the “TRASHed” campaign has successfully gained thousands of followers while relaying this green message in a new and exciting way!
