I love seeing a clean energy economy play such a prominent role in the Obama administration. Week after week President Obama takes the time to touch on the clean energy economy
, even if just for a moment, as he delivers speeches around the country. On Saturday, the green economy topic made an appearance in his weekly presidential address.
“We’re also investing in a homegrown, clean energy industry — because I don’t want to see new solar panels and wind turbines and electric cars manufactured in some other country. I want to see them made in America, by American workers. So far, we’ve provided new tax credits, loan guarantees, and investments that will lead to more than 800,000 clean energy jobs by 2012.” Source: White House
That’s right … a clean energy future is ours if we want it. We can’t just sit back and let other countries lead the green economy of tomorrow. We need to take action now to ensure our place as a clean energy leader.
