The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa at Indian Wells in Palm Springs, Calif., will host the 2009 Clean-tech Investor Summit.  Employees and owners of investment firms, clean-tech companies, Fortune 500 companies, industry services providers, government agencies and academic institutions were in attendance at the sold-out 2008 event.
“Over the last eight years, venture investments in the sector have increased from less than 1 percent of total venture investments to more than 10 percent. Clean-energy investing in the U.S. reached $2.7 billion alone in 2007. Many clean technologies are experiencing double-digit annual growth rates.” Source: Clean-tech Summit
Speakers scheduled to appear at the 2009 conference are a veritable Who’s Who of clean-tech:  T. Boone Pickens of BP Capital Management (and the Pickens Plan), Jason Wolf of Better Place and Peter Gleick of the Pacific Institute will all be speaking at the conference.

Although the 2008 conference sold out, registration is still open for this year’s event.  The registration fee is $1795, but Joel Makower from GreenBiz is offering the use of his personal discount code that is good for a $400 discount.
