Berkeley High School held the first annual Green Career Exploration Fair on March 19. Students from seven schools participated, and green jobs advocate Emily Kirsch led students in a back and forth cheer. Nothing fires up a bunch of high school students then a little healthy — albeit loud — competition.
If you’re a high school student in the area interested in green jobs and missed the event, you’re in luck — a three-part video series is online. In the videos you can hear speeches from local politicians, including Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates, Alec Loorz of Kids vs. Global Warming, and Emily Kirsch of the Ella Baker Center.
