President Obama is tired of waiting on Congress to do something and so he’s forging ahead without them. As the nation gets settled in to 2012, the economy is just barely moving forward. Something needs to change to get this economic recovery switched into high gear and the president has a plan to give the economy and jobs market a boost – a new tourism strategy.
“Tourism is the number one service we export. Every year, tens of millions of tourists come from all over the world to visit America. They stay in our hotels, eat at our restaurants, and see all the sights America has to offer. That’s good for local businesses. That’s good for local economies. And the more folks who visit America, the more Americans we get back to work. It’s that simple.” Source: The White House
