I first heard about Van Jones’ American Dream Movement back in August. On Aug. 9, Jones revealed his 10-point plan to help get the nation’s economy back on track and asked Americans to sign a contract to support this plan. Fast-forward to today and Jones and other key players are participating in the first American Dream Summit.

Although the conference is being held in Washington, D.C., you can catch it via the livestream, watch video recaps of previously held events or follow along on Twitter using the #takeback11 hashtag. One of my favorite quotes from the Twitter stream comes from Van Jones himself, “They had the Arab Spring, welcome to the American Autumn.”

American Autumn – I like that!

So what economy-boosting actions might happen during this American Autumn? Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) wants to tax the rich and reduce military spending.

AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka envisions an American Autumn where Congress passes President Obama’s American Jobs Act.
