At the end of May, the first annual Brooklyn Business Summit was held in New York.  The purpose of the summit was to provide sustainability information to small business owners and entrepreneurs in the state. 

 

Several different workshops were held during the one-day event including discussions that focused on energy audit training, the emerging green economy, and understanding green collar jobs.

Tania Beaubrun of the St. Nicholas Neighborhood Preservation Corporation moderated the event, which featured presentations by Baye Adolfo-Wilson (Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District) and Andrew H. Kimball (Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation).
