Nudo Farms: Olive entrepreneurs

La Dolce Vita! If you’re going to withdraw from the rat race, you might as well live in Italy. It’s hard to imagine farm life being sweet or
easy, but this young farm couple seems to be pulling it off. Jason Gibb and Cathy Rodgers bought a 21-acre olive grove in the Italian region of Le Marche after they decided that one more year of working in the trenches of Hollywood was just too much. The couple left California with their 1-year-old in tow, based on the hunch that rehabilitating and restoring an olive orchard would suit them just fine. Out of that dream, Nudo Farm was born in 2005. (And for a modest sum, you can invest in the dream by adopting an olive tree. Hopefully you’ll have a few quarts of life’s lubricant sent to your door in due time.)
