The nonprofit Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is working overtime to teach the public about food. Let's face it — most of us don't feel guilty if we sneak out to McDonald's in the middle of the day, and when we head to the market for a fruit in winter we don't think about where that produce is coming from, or the importance of community farming and buying local.
