I lived in Brasil for 1 year and loved it! I have visited many countries and Brasil is by far one of the most beautiful and is home to some of the most fantastic people I have ever met. The country is huge has so much available to you much more than just beautiful beaches, islands, and people! Saudade!!!!

I do agree with you! I am a Brazilian native and yes, there is much more in Brazil than just beautiful beaches and carnaval.

Brazil's federal minimum wage is about $375 USD per MONTH. The only things you can buy cheaper in Brazil than in the US are private health care insurance, maid service, and cigarettes. Everything else is much more expensive down here. If you want to come to here to work in a position that earns the minimum wage then stay were you are, because Brazil does not need this kind of manpower, however it is a growing economy that has good opportunities coming around, and I know about foreigners that have great success on theirs careers or entrepreneurship.
