Rose C. is the Great American Worker of 2012!
Georgia-Pacific Professional honors one of the nation's best workers through Brawny Industrial® Brand Great American Worker Contest
Content provided by Georgia-Pacific - Green Workplace

ATLANTA – The search is over! Georgia-Pacific Professional, a leading manufacturer of shop towels, industrial wipers and other away-from-home products, is excited to honor Rose Cceberio as the 2012 Brawny Industrial® Brand Great American Worker. Along with the prestigious title, Rose, who is from the hardworking city of Pittsburgh, will receive a brand new 2012 Ford® F-150 truck.

This past March, Georgia-Pacific Professional set out to find the men and women who serve as the backbone of the American workforce and give back to their neighbors, co-workers and community every day. In doing so, the company undertook an exhaustive national search including the review of many heart-felt nominations, the selection of 10 finalists and a call for the public’s votes to help select the winner.

“We learned about line workers, electricians, safety advocates, engineers, managers, foremen, teachers and medical caregivers from across the country who serve as examples both in their communities and in the workplace,” said Bill Tracey, Georgia-Pacific Professional vice president – wiper category. “Among these talented workers, Rose stood out as an individual committed to making a difference in her job and within her community. Demonstrating the key qualities of a Great American Worker, Rose earned a spot as a finalist and with the support of the public’s vote, we are pleased to recognize Rose with the 2012 title.”

As a registered nurse, Rose dedicates her life to bettering her industry and her community. She pursued the Great American Worker title as a testament to her profession and to demonstrate how the field requires safety, productivity and active community involvement at its foundation. Understanding the importance of these pillars to her patients' health, Rose educates about risk management and illness prevention to encourage patients to incorporate safety in their daily routines.

"I am humbled to stand among the group of finalists who each contribute to the American workforce," says Cceberio. “I plan to use this recognition to advocate for my community and to encourage others to implement safe and healthy lifestyle practices."

The Great American Worker contest recognizes those who exhibit safety and productivity on the job while contributing initiative and leadership to create a stronger community. Think you or someone you know could be the next Great American Worker?
