Nike print pack: Shoes made from old magazines
Nike releases three shoe styles created from past publications.
Maybe there's life for print publications after all — or at least an afterlife. Nike just released the Women's Premium Print Pack, a limited edition set of three shoe styles, all made using shredded magazines.
The pack contains the Flash Macro Premium, the Blazer Mid Premium and the Air Rift Premium. While the shoes have regular soles, strings, and other components, the main material used in each is a kind of laminated, stitched fabric created from old glossies. Unfortunately, you may have to travel outside the states to get them: Nike says they will only be available in Europe, China and "select emerging markets."
