If you’re going to be spending some time surfing online for holiday gifts today, you might as well take advantage of some of the Cyber Monday sales and deals that are offered. My inbox was full of emails this morning with some of them, and I thought I’d pass them along to you.

  1. Amazon Kindle books in Cooking, Food & Wine – Amazon has 25 Kindle titles today under $5 (many under $1) for food enthusiasts, including three different holiday themed cookbooks for the slow cooker.
  2. Kindle Fire – You don’t need an eReader to take advantage of the Kindle sales. You can download them to your computer or smartphone. But, if you’ve been thinking about getting a Kindle, the Kindle Fire is just $129 with the coupon code FIREDEAL. This is the eReader that I have, and I use it all the time.
  3. Macys – Use the promo code CYBER and get an extra 10 – 15 percent off many items and free shipping with an order over $75. They have some great deals for the kitchen, including a 12-piece Pyrex glass food storage set for $15.99.
  4. Abe’s Market – Free shipping on everything and an extra $15 dollars off when you spend $50 and use the code CYBERKID. Abe’s Market has natural products including food, kitchen items, and even toys for kids.
  5. Seventh Generation – There’s no coupon code necessary to get an extra 15 percent off natural cleaning products, recycled paper products and even diapers. There’s free shipping on orders over $49.
  6. Pottery Barn – You’ll have to search to find some of Pottery Barn’s more sustainable offerings, but they’re there. Today only, they have free shipping on most items with the coupon code FREESHIP.
  7. Le Creuset – Free shipping using the code FREESHIP, 25 – 50 percent off special items, and today only a free pie bird* with every order.
  8. Organic Bouquet – If you’re planning on sending organic flowers during the holidays, you can purchase a discounted gift certificate today to use later on in the season. Gift certificates are up to 56 percent off today.
  9. Sur la Table – They have 100 electric gifts under $100 and they have free shipping. If I’m reading the fine print correctly, it’s only those 100 items that have free shipping, but any order on the site ships free if you spend over $59 and use the code 594924. One very reasonably priced deal is the Cuisinart SmartStick Immersion Blender on sale for $34.95.
  10. Envirosax – You can get 50 percent off everything on this reusable bag site today and there’s a flat shipping rate of $5.95. Their bags are cute and durable, and I think they make great gifts for teachers and others you want to give a very useful, but not too expensive, remembrance to this year. Also, think stocking stuffers.

* A pie bird is a ceramic bird you stick in the middle of pie while it’s baking. It has a whole going through it, and it’s supposed to let out steam so your pie doesn’t end up too soupy. I had one long ago. It didn’t seem to work. If you can opt out of the free pie bird, you might want to so, unless you really want it.
