I sat contentedly on my couch on Black Friday watching movies and catching up on the episodes of “Once Upon a Time” that I’d missed. It was marvelous. No holiday shopping for me on the craziest day of the year.

Today, I’ll do quite a bit of shopping from the comfort of that same couch on the much saner Cyber Monday. The emails with discount codes, free shipping codes and slashed prices are filling my inbox quickly. I thought I’d share some of the deals that have caught my attention.

  • Amazon has an amazing deal on the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer. It’s reduced to $259.99, shipping is free, and there is a $50 mail-in rebate. Final price for this mixer that usually sells for around $500 is $209.99. I have no idea how long this deal will last.
  • The Homer Laughlin China Company, the makers of Fiesta dinnerware, is offering free shipping today on orders of more than $99.99 to the continental U.S. If you remember, I bought a new set of sustainable, durable Fiesta dinnerware earlier this year, and I’m still thrilled with it. In fact, just last night my husband dropped a dinner plate, and it didn’t break.
  • Kohls has some great Cyber Monday deals in kitchen appliances with free shipping and an additional 20 percent off prices if you use the code CYBER20. There are deals on stainless steel cookware, knives, food processors, French presses and more.
  • Abe’s Market sells natural and organic items — food, clothing, reusable bags, beauty products and more. They’re offering free shipping today.
  • Barnes & Noble has a 30 percent off one item coupon (code: N7C7K8T) today — great for a cookbook, plus deals on $5 off $10 or more from their toy selections and various other deals.
  • The Amazon Kindle Daily Deal is usually one Kindle book at least 75 percent off its regular price, but today there are 900 ebooks to choose from at a deep discount, including several Canal House cookbooks and lots of knitting books.
  • Here’s one non-kitchen deal from a company I love: Fair Indigo is offering a rare, free shipping deal today only. Two of their gift choices that I like are the gadget gloves (the tip of the thumb and index finger are left open for ease of use on gadgets) and their reclaimed suit sling bags.
