Daniel Gross, author of the new book Better, Stronger, Faster, encourages Americans to not despair about the
economy because it is actually doing quite well. Gross explains that since 2009 the stock market has doubled, the economy is larger than it was at the peak and the nation is finding new things that it excels at.
Lex Haris, managing editor of CNNMoney comments on the topic that is on most of our minds, “but it feels like we’re going so slowly.” Gross explains that the nation is experiencing the “characteristic slow growth recovery.” In other words, this is normal and not something to overly worry about. In a world full of doom and gloom, Gross is a welcome breath of fresh air.
