Are you an online daily deals addict? Do you wake up every morning with anticipation about today’s Groupon or LivingSocial deal? If this sounds like you then check out SavingPass.com. MindSoft LLC launched the new daily-deal integrator website last week. Now you can log on to a single site to find out what’s available in your area instead of trying to remember all of the sites you need to visit or sorting through dozens of emails.
They aren't the first to do this — The DealMap is another such aggregator — but they are tapping into a growing trend.
When you first visit the site, you’ll see national deals but you will also be able to choose from one of more than 100 metro areas to view more localized special offers. SavingsPass.com gathers deal information from a variety of sources including Groupon, LivingSocial, Woot.com, Overstock, Amazon, Tippr and more.
I’m not an overly zealous daily deal shopper, but I do enjoy a Groupon or LivingSocial deal from time to time. One of the reasons I haven’t searched out other deals is that my email inbox is busy enough as it is, and the last thing I need is more emails — so the all-in-one aspect of SavingPass.com intrigued me.
I live in the Phoenix metropolitan area and with a click of the mouse I was able to see customized deals in my area. Today’s offers include group surfing lessons in San Diego (driving distance), dance lessons at a local Fred Astaire Dance Studio, discounts on massages, food discounts and even a discount on Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj concert tickets.
After visiting the site, I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the simple and straightforward interface. I was expecting a multi-part signup process but instead I was taken directly to my city’s deal page without any signup prompts. Since my aim is to reduce my email inbox clutter, this is the perfect site for me and it now holds a spot on my bookmarks bar.
