The fastest-growing job in the nation is in home health care, but the pay is low, even below minimum wage for some.

The nation added more than 200,000 new jobs in February and while that sounds like a good month, the news isn’t all rosy. The fastest-growing job position in the nation is home health care workers, but the pay associated with these positions is lousy. The average pay for a home health care worker is less than $10 per hour, and for some employees — those who are paid a fixed weekly wage — the hourly wage turns out to be much less, even less than the federal minimum wage in some instances.
