If you follow tax-related political news, then you’ve heard of the Buffett Rule. It was named after billionaire Warren Buffet and the fact that he pays a lower net income tax rate than his secretary, who earns significantly less than her famous boss. During his weekly address, President Obama focused once again on the Buffett Rule, encouraging Congress to vote on the issue and let America know where they stand on preferential tax breaks for the wealthiest taxpayers.
