The Navy shower approach is great if you use moisturizing body washes for dry skin, especially during the winter. Lathering up and then leaving the the moisturizing lather on your skin while you shampoo your hair gives that expensive body wash a chance to do its job properly. This has saved me from the dreaded "winter skin" itching.

Been taking a "Navy Shower" for years. Must admit the occasional slip(of leaving the water running) when i think about other things while showering. Leaving the water on the whole time is just wasteful. I try to encourage others at the local Earth day event and find the: "doesn't it get cold excuse". I am at a loss how to answer that question. I use an inline shut off for both my main shower head and wand I still have to work on my wife.
