Starbucks Holiday Drinks BOGO

‘Tis the season to enjoy a buy one, get one free holiday drink at Starbucks. The special promotional offer begins today and runs through Sunday at participating Starbucks locations in the United States and Canada. Just stop by between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and pick up two drinks for the price of one.

The special holiday themed drinks eligible for the buy one get one free offer include hot, iced and blended versions of the following flavors:

  • Peppermint Mocha
  • Gingerbread Latte
  • Caramel Brulee Latte
  • Eggnog Latte
  • Skinny Peppermint Mocha

Taking advantage of this BOGO offer is easy: Simply visit your local Starbucks and inquire about the holiday drink buy one get one free offer. I stopped by the Starbucks inside our neighborhood grocery store this morning to ask if they would be participating in the offer and sure enough, they are.

While we were there, I purchased a peppermint hot chocolate for my daughter and she gave it two thumbs up. Although she likes coffee, I couldn’t send her off to school right after drinking a peppermint mocha.

In other Starbucks news, the famed coffeehouse is buying Teavana. Starbucks announced that it would be acquiring the tea company in an all-cash transaction. I’m a tea drinker and I love Teavana so I was excited to see that Starbucks is acquiring the company.

Starbucks is already planning to expand Teavana outside of its typical mall-based locations and into neighborhoods next year.

“We believe the tea category is ripe for reinvention and rapid growth. The Teavana acquisition now positions us to disrupt and lead, just as we did with espresso starting three decades ago,” said Howard Schultz, Starbucks chairman, president and CEO. “Teavana’s world-class tea authority, coupled with the romance and theater of the retail experience that is the heart and soul of Starbucks heritage, will create a differentiated customer experience and business opportunity that delivers immediate value to shareholders. This complements our existing Tazo brand and gives us the unique opportunity to create a two-tiered market position.” Source: Starbucks

Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of Tazo teas and so I would love to see Starbucks incorporate Teavana’s products into its coffeehouse locations.
