The Men’s Wearhouse 2012 National Suit Drive is in full swing but if you think you may have something to donate, you only have until July 31, 2012 to drop your items off at a local Men’s Wearhouse store. The company set a goal of collecting 110,000 items but right now the drive hasn’t even reached 30,000 donated items. The 2011 National Suit Drive collected 102,381 clothing items.

Men’s Wearhouse is collecting gently used professional clothing and the items collected will be donated to one of more than 100 local nonprofit organizations across the country.

Although this is called a suit Drive, a variety of clothing items are needed including:

  • Sport coats
  • Dress slacks, shirts and shoes
  • Business casual wear
  • Outwear
  • Ties, belts and other accessories
  • Women’s professional clothing items

Simply log on to the Men’s Wearhouse website, find a store near you and drop off your gently used clothing. Once you’ve made a donation, log on to Twitter and let everyone know about your donation by using #giveasuit. Men’s Wearhouse has committed to donating $1 per Twitter announcement, up to $25,000.
