Five innovative individuals were selected as winners in the 2011 Toyota Ideas for Good Challenge. The winners are preparing for an upcoming rapid-prototyping weekend at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. The following five ideas will be prototyped during the event:

  • Building a better bike helmet
  • Solar-powered ventilation system
  • Power plant gym
  • Automated firefighting extension ladder guidance system
  • Touch tracer mouse, keyboard and monitor
Contest winners will be working alongside engineers and experts to start the process of transforming their ideas into reality.
