It appears that chips are recession-proof. Sun Chips, the makers of those tasty quasi-healthy snacks, is partnering up with National Geographic to give away a whopping $100,000 to the five best and brightest green ideas in the land.
MNN's Jenn Savedge picked up this story on Day 1 of the competition, and now YouTube has created a channel around the "Green Effect" brand called YTLiveGreen which features the cute video (above).
As of last counting the video has received about 100,000 impressions, so doing some basic marketing math (maybe about 1.5 percent conversion), the odds are pretty good! So if you have a great idea to green your community, submit them by June 9 on the Nat Geo website.
