Dolphins mesmerize with bubble-blowing trick

This hypnotic video of dolphins creating floating air rings will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the animal's dexterity.

Dolphins never cease to amaze me. I just found this video,  shot at Sea World in Florida, of several dolphins creating rings made out of air bubbles. I can't even comprehend how they actually get the rings to float so long and then break them into different sizes.

It is hypnotic. You have to watch it a couple of times to appreciate just how ingeniously playful these creatures are.

Scientists have been studying dolphin antics in the Gulf of Mexico (where dolphins are most abundant) to learn more about their behavior and biology. If you want to learn more, check out the recent report by the Institute of Marine Mammal Studies in Gulfport.

It's also dolphin-watching season this month in Baja. Check out this video of a wild dolphin "stampede."

Must see movie "The Cove"

Dolphins are not meant to be in captivity. Seek out and see the movie "The Cove" [thecovemovie.com] with the original trainer, Richard O'Barry, of the 1960s TV show "Flipper". He is trying to reverse the damage the show did to dolphins. Many thousands of dolphins are slaughtered on the false belief that dolphins are 'pests' and the reason that there is a dwindling availability of marine life for humans to eat - when the real issue is humans over-fishing the oceans with large vessels and nets.... Yes, See "The Cove"

I agree completely, this movie must be seen by everyone. Too few people know of the tragedies that occur to marine life in general. With more support to get the dolphin slaughter stopped, the more likely it will come to an end!
