Green racks for your red wine

Celebrate both Bacchus and Mother Nature over the coming months by storing/displaying your vino in an eco-friendly rack.

If there ever was a time of year when bottles of red, white, and sparkling booze treats make an appearance in your kitchen or dining room, the next couple of months are it. Even if you don’t drink wine, you may end up buying it for guests that do imbibe. And if you’re hosting an entire crew of thirsty oenophiles, you may want to have somewhere to stash all those bottles.

Below are six eco-friendly wine racks that look good without taking up too much valuable real estate space in your home. Consider investing in one for the holiday season and beyond. They also make great gifts for friends and family who have a taste for the grape. And for actual eco wine choices, check in with food blogger Robin Shreeves who often covers organic, local, and biodynamic varieties of the good stuff. Personally, I like my whites from Oregon, my reds from Argentina (not the most carbon-friendly choices for a New Yorker, I know), and my boxes from the California vineyards of Three Thieves.
