The repair involves installing a steel shim a couple of millimeters thick in the pedal assembly, behind the top of the gas pedal, to eliminate the excess friction between two pieces of the accelerator mechanism. In rare cases, Toyota says, that friction can cause the pedal to become stuck in the depressed position.Irvine auto glass

Mats and Pedals = Smoke Screen
Sudden Acceleration does not come from a STUCK pedal. Thats Constant speed. I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. It tends to lurch when you stop. My mats (factory) are no where near my pedal UP or down - and they are secure. My pedal looks nothing like the two CTC or the other (not recalled).
