Aiman Arif is a senior at California Virtual Academies, an online high school. As an eco-ambassador for the Weather Channel, she participated in the 2007 Forecast Earth Summit in Washington, D.C., and was selected to be a part of the summit in 2008, too. Currently, she is the president of her school's "Green Dragons" environmental club, where she enjoys talking about environmental issues with her peers. She is serving on the Student Advisory Council for Planet Connect, an environmental social networking site for high school students (www.planet-connect.org). Aiman is also writing for and serving on the editorial board for The Green News, an online youth green news magazine (www.thegreennews.net). When she's not busy with environmental activities, she stays involved in community service. A Bay Area resident, she has volunteered with Save the Bay for a restoration project. Her precious free moments are spent with her family and friends!
