From a true Texan: Secession of any state is ILLEGAL and has been since after the war between the states, AND was confirmed as such by SCOTUS over 150 years ago under secession/nullification. Conservative Justice Scalia recently noted so as well in a anecdotal discussion. Also, the gov of Texas and TX state govt don't support such an idea. The only thing that signing one of these "suggestion box" petitions will do is identify the signatories and potentially get them on some kind of watchlist. So be very careful with any of this wingnut stuff. And don't try to say that theconstitution allows secession, because it does not address this term at all.
