There have been, for some

There have been, for some time now, non-prescription DPP-IV gluten digestion assisters in pill form for when Celiacs or those who are just gluten sensitive accidentally ingest foods containing gluten. Agree with J that it's just best to avoid the glut of foods now containing gluten. However, moderation has its place. When my child began outgrowing her gluten and lactose sensitivities - as her gut matured and healed - her entire life and outlook improved. No longer forced to obsess over non-stop diet/bathroom maintenance and soiling, she could be a carefree kid again. We always baked and cooked from scratch with organics, fruits, veggies and gluten-free grains (and still do), while buying the occasional off the shelf cereal or cookie with gluten. A kid who can't eat cake at a birthday party or pizza at a sleepover (or enjoy a family vacation) is stressed and feels different. The enzyme assisters were the last step in our multi-approach years long progression of her digestive system/gut healing. Suffering from 24/7 gluten sensitivity most of her young life forced my daughter to preternaturally read labels and gain an awareness of industrial food production - the silver lining.

kieran, the Church of Rome (i.e., the Vatican) did, in fact, facilitate the spread of all 3 stages of the plague in the 14th century (1300), killing off 60% of Europe with an endless succession of superstition and stupidity. Conjointly killing "satanic" cats and "witches" - women - being its most prototypical idiotic. It was the emergence of commerce and travel between Asia and the Middle East - and on to the Mediterranean and Europe that introduced the rats carrying the bacterium. The Vatican was the multinational control over Europe, a monarchy within many monarchies; when it could not stop the horrific spreading pandemic, it resorted to all manner torture, maiming and murder to show it retained power. It failed, unsurprisingly, and eroded its own standing, leading to the Renaissance and Reformation. FYI: London experienced the latter Bubonic plague stages in the 1600s. The period in history from the fall of Rome/Dark Ages/Medieval/Reformation are so critical that it is unfortunate to see the public schools no longer teach history and western civ, resulting in 2+ generations of Americans who think civilization jumped from dinosaurs to cavemen, to Egyptians and Jesus, then to the American Revolution, with not much in between.
I would love to see a more

I would love to see a more responsible human population than makes the effort to spay and neuter dogs, cats and, in some cases, other humans.
