I love nature and the great outdoors, and blazing the woods and meadows on my mountain bike. I work outdoors as a self employed landscaper. I enjoy the simple and good things of life, especially nature and all her wonderful gifts, and have aspirations of getting into organic gardening. I eat all natural and homemade and I create and write my own recipes. I keep in great physical shape, and I decided to quit drinking for better health, and my sobriety date is November 30, 2011.///////////////
SOBRIETY DATE ( November 30, 2010 ) God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
PEACE PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI
Lord, make me an instrument
of Your Peace.
Where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master,
grant that I may seek not so much
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to
Eternal Life. ( Feast Day: October 4th )
The New Spring ~ Dana Greco
I love nature and all its wonderful gifts. I give thanks to God for the fresh food of the land, bearing succulent vegetables, juicy ripe fruits, nuts falling from the trees, and sweet berries for the taking. I love to see a white tail deer charge up a steep hill, with its great speed, strength, and graceful stride, or see a fury red fox standing in contrast to a pure white virgin snow. What a thrill to see a grey herring launch off in flight with its broad wing span creating a powerful wake that quickly grabs my sight. But nothing is as captivating than a red tailed hawk soaring a clear blue sky, then perching itself on a tree top to proudly peer over its domain with such stunning and sharp appearance. What a sight it is to see a rising sun peaking slightly over the rolling hills, and casting rays of light in all directions, making morning dew sparkle like daylight stars, then traveling towards dusk to highlight the horizon with a soothing orange glow. I love a calm night with a mellow moon, a sparkling array of stars putting on a magical display, while crickets sing a relaxing song to my ears. I love Autumn and looking over the rolling hills, with trees displaying magnificent colors, and releasing their sweet fragrances in the fresh cool air. I love all the seasons that God provides, and surely He relates them to our own lives: with the Spring and all the new life rising, the Summer in it's thriving full bloom, the Fall as things slow down, but yet so brilliant with numerous colors. The Winter is a time of death, but chills and purifies the land, and beneath a satin white blanket of snow, there lies the dormant seeds that wait to rise gracefully with a Fresh New Spring. The only difference between our lives and nature is, that when we die, we are transformed into Spirit, then we rise to Gods Wonderful Kingdom that we call Heaven, and that is Our New Birth or Our New Spring.
