MY BIO

Diane MacEachern is an award-winning entrepreneur and best-selling author who was recently named one of America's EcoHeroes by Glamour magazine.  She founded Big Green Purse to inspire consumers to use their money to protect themselves and the planet. Her latest book, Big Green Purse: Use Your Spending Power to Create a Cleaner, Greener World, has been called the "big green bible" for the wealth of practical but inspiring information it contains. She has shown Regis Philbin how to change an energy-efficient lightbulb; talked about the green scene on Martha Stewart Living Radio; and debated oil drilling with Sean Hannity on Fox News. Diane has also consulted with such organizations as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, World Bank, and United Nations Environment Programme. An in-demand speaker, her audiences have included Frito-Lay, American Bankers Association, Ketchum, Harvard University and the National Association of Women Business Owners. Diane lives with her husband, two kids, two cats, and a wonderful pooch in the energy-efficient home she helped design and build in 1985.
