Honestly, solo synchronized swimming is no more silly than solo figure skating or gymnastics. It's a real shame that the sport hasn't gained more traction here in the U.S.--I don't even think that it is an NCAA-sanctioned sport any more, and only a handful of D-I schools offer scholarships in it. You have to be a tremendous athlete to be good at it.
