Centralia is a very cool

Centralia is a very cool place to visit. I read that it motivated some of the design of the Silent Hill video games. I went there once with a friend. The nearby town of Mt. Carmel is interesting, with onion-domed buildings and a bridge that seems to cross a yawning chasm. Centralia at night is spooky. You can walk down the middle of a an abandoned highway, with traffic signs still in place. It abruptly ends at a dead end with a curb and bushes and has cracks that spew sulfur and smoke that are illuminated a ghostly white by a flashlight. We also passed a religious-themed billboard beside a road that read, "Evolution: not real, not scientific, not rational"...spooky!
