The canary in the coal mine when it comes to the spread of tropical diseases in the US. Unfortunately, with the lack of a national health care system the spread will be less accurately tracked than in other nations. Not a "good thing".

Well, with the exception of Canadian football, time to put my sports interest back in hibernation till the next winter olympics. It must have been quite a ceremony at the 1936 Olympics when the Canadian basketball team won silver with the (Canadian) inventor of the game present. Has any other inventor of a sport ever been present at the Olympics? Does anyone know?
